Cat Hai District

Cat Hai is a rural district  of Hai Phong, the third largest city of Vietnam. It includes the old Cat Ba town from 1977.

As of 2003 the district had a population of 28,118. The districts covers an area of 295 km2 (114 sq mi). The district capital lies at Cat Hai

Cat Hai island is 345km2, including two large islands: Cat Hai area of ​​approximately 40km2 and Cat Ba is more than 300 km2.
