Viet Hai long trek and kayaking in Lan Ha bay

  • 7.00am:

Enjoy an early sunrise breakfast on our rooftop terrace restauarant.

  • 8.00am:

 We will be met at the hotel for a vehicle transfer to Cat Ba UNESCO National Park. Before trekking we will visit an exhibition centre to learn info on the history, culture and various research projects. Also includes a fossil exhibition.

  • 12.30pm:

 We will begin our long trek along an old route in the national park, passing a large picturesque frog lake and a sacred "old and hight tree" rain-forest.

 After 2 hours, we will arrive at a small village in a remote corner of the forest, where we can witness an self sustrained eco-freindly community. Eat a traditional fresh lunch ( optional cooking lessong) in a home. We wukk kearb giw ti grow rice, collect medicinal plants, and various fishing techniques. 

  • 1.30pm:

  We will depart from the park via boat and head to Lan Ha bay where we can spend the afternoon swimming, caving, snorkeling and kayaking.

 There are hundresds of islands to enjoy and many beautiful white sandy beaches

  • 4.30pm: 

 Return to your hostel

7.30am: enjoy an early breakfast on the rooftop terrace


Embarking on a sailing trip through Cat Dua beach ( Monkey Island) Van Boi beach, several fishing villages and pearl farming areas.

 - We begin our trek down an old route towards a small village deep within Cat Ba UNESCO National park. ( Approx 3 hours). Here we can learn about the self contained lifestyle of the villagers, from growing rice medicinal plants, raising pigs and various fishing techniques.

 - We will continue on wards Hai Quan peak, after a fairly steep climb, be blown away by superb mountain panoramas, enjoying breathtaking views of HaLong Bay.


After a fresh cooked lunch in one of the village houses (with an optional cooking lesson) we will be transfered by boat to Lan Ha bay where we can enjoy an afternoon of kayaking, caves, swimming, scuba diving and lazing on the many beaches.
